AIGA, the professional association for design, is a national organization “committed to advancing design as a professional craft, strategic advantage and vital cultural force.” There are numerous chapters throughout the country and our very own Salt Lake City chapter happens to be celebrating its 25th anniversary as the national organization celebrates its 100th anniversary.
This past Saturday, AIGA Salt Lake City held its annual 100 Show. This is a gala and awards reception that recognizes and honors the top 100 pieces of design in the region. Out of over 200 submissions, Jibe was very proud to get 3 entries accepted into the show—no small feat by any means. What’s more, we were able to snag a much-coveted Copper Ingot, of which only ten are available (three for students, seven for professionals). We were awarded the Copper Ingot for our design work on the MEAT, our own social media workshop (we will be holding more workshops in the near future, check here to keep updated). This is Jibe’s first Copper Ingot, and we’re very proud to display it amongst our other awards. Our other two winning entries were the motion graphic video for Tactick and our own unique business cards.
As we approach the middle of 2014, we look forward to what the second half of the year has in store. We’ve got some great work in progress and hope to make another strong showing at next year’s awards shows.
