Hey! My name is Sydney Bishop, and I am the newest JIBE employee. Actually, I’m an intern—that means I get all the fun jobs, right?

I moved from Colorado to Salt Lake City about 4 years ago with my husband. I’m an artist; he’s an accountant, so we balance each other out nicely. We moved for the purpose of going to school and currently both attend the University of Utah. It’s been a long road getting here (transferring schools is the worst—especially 5 times!), but I can finally say that I graduate next year with my Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design. I am active in the University of Utah AIGA Student Group, and also enjoy doing personal projects outside of school. Graphic Design has always been a passion of mine—when I was a kid I had 4 large boards in my room covered with inspiring design and typography, which I would constantly re-arrange. Now that I’m an adult, I’ve restricted myself to two. Note: my Pinterest doesn’t count.

Besides graphic design, I love interior design, writing, hiking with my husband, and Netflix binging (who doesn’t?). I am a firm believer that pumpkin pie should be served year-round, and that a good notebook should never be passed up (even if you have a stack at home… guilty!).

I’m very excited to continue my career in graphic design, and I have already had such great opportunities in Salt Lake (uh, JIBE is awesome!). I can’t wait to see how else I can get my hands dirty.
